no to constituent assembly
As against to No to ConAss, I join myself to the No to ConAss movement and write a post on my blog about my own opinion of No to ConAss. I write this post in the knowledge that within my absolute right I have a freedom of speech. What is ConAss? It means Constituent Assembly. Why the congressman/woman pass this bill? Of course, to amend the 1987 Constitution. It happened during the night of June 2, 2009, where 170 Representatives sponsored and passed a resolution that fuels the anger of many Filipinos. The 170 representatives approves the House Bill Resolution 1109 that bind and set up a Constituent Assembly (ConAss) that will lead to a possibility of the present administration especially Gloria Arroyo to stay in power after 2010. They’re going to used ConAss to postpone the elections on 2010, there will be a May 2010 elections. On that night as I watch over the news, these “Honorable” representatives held a marathon session to pass House Bill Resolution 1109. It’s great shame to have this kind of what we call an Honorable Congressman/Woman who voted in favor for the constitutional amendments through ConAss. They should not be called Honorable. What they did was a great shame for our country and also to the congress as an institution, to have these evil people who have not done anything good for the country. It only shows their true colors and evil intentions. There are more important and priority bill that needs them to review and pass. Like the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP). Our poor farmers are clamoring for their CARP, where it was supposed to be an important and priority bill. Gloria Arroyo may have succeeded on bribing a bunch of Judas in congress but they will not triumphant in the end. Light destroy darkness, and good is more powerful than evil. To those House Representatives who voted the House Bill Resolution 1109…SHAME ON YOU.
