One Tree Hill - Season 8, Episode 17 - The Smoker You Drink, The Player...

As Haley's due date approaches, she starts preparing her friends and family to make sure that they are ready when the baby arrives. Julian and Brooke prepare for their adoption, and Chuck looks to Chase to help him with a problem.

Brooke and Julian prepare to adopt a baby. They go shopping for baby supplies although it is tough when they do not know if they're going to get a boy or a girl. Haley fakes going into labor to test Quinn to see if she is ready for when the actual time comes. It turns out that she is not. Nathan is doing very well in his class but his professor still does not want him to represent his son.

Nathan, Julian, Clay, and Chase have a guys' night out. Haley tests Quinn a second time and she passes so Haley has moved on to Brooke. When Haley pretends to be going into labor in front of Brooke, she freaks out and runs all over the place. Then, they decide to call Julian to trick him, but he passes out. Nathan goes to talk to his professor's son, Ian, who is happy to sign with Nathan and piss off his father.

Chloe stops by Julian and Brooke's to tell them that the baby is coming sooner than expected. Haley goes into labor but is ignored since they think she is testing them. It turns out that she was. Millie goes on air in a chicken suit. Chase helps Chuck with his batting. It turns out that Chuck might need glasses and they go to the studio to ask Alex to borrow hers. Brooke finds out that the father of Chloe's baby is in jail. Haley and Quinn talk about the mystery person that crashed into the car Jamie and Brooke were in. It seems to be someone that they know.

Clay and Nathan go to Ian's house party. Ian says that he will sign with them if they win a game of beer pong. They do. Brooke asks Chloe about the sex of the baby and Chloe gets offended and says she does not want to know anything about the baby. Chase goes to Chuck's house to see how he plays with his glasses on. He does a lot better. Back at Ian's, Nathan goes to the bathroom and sees a beat up car and he realizes he is the one that crashed into the car Brooke and Jamie were in.

One Tree Hill - Season 8, Episode 16 - I Think I'm Going to Like It Here

The girls plan a surprise baby shower for Haley, and the guys participate in try-outs for Jamie's baseball team. Julian and Brooke decide they'd like to adopt a child, and Mouth helps Millie prepare for her first day of work.

Brooke and Julian are getting ready to go to their interview to adopt a baby. Brooke is stressing. During the interview, they pretend to be a completely different couple. Brooke leaves the meeting excited and confident that they are going to get a baby.

Clay and Nathan are blown off by Ian, the basketball player. He later shows up at Jamie's baseball game and acts like a jerk. Julian comes to help Clay and Nathan coach Jamie's baseball team. The three of them go talk to Ian. It turns out that Ian has issues with his dad, Nathan's professor. Surprisingly, Ian ends up signing with Nathan and Clay.

Quinn is trying to set up for Haley's baby shower while Haley is around. It ends up not being a surprise. All the girls gather together for the party. Quinn gives a speech then gives Haley a brush which if of sentimental value. Haley reveals that she is going to name her daughter Lydia, after her mother. Haley makes Brooke chug a beer just as the adoption lady comes in. Everyone is scaring this lady off but Haley comes in and saves the day.

Millie got the reporter position instead of Mouth. Mouth acts as though he is truly happy for her. He ends up writing stories for her to help her out. The adoption lady, Chloe, shows up at Brooke and Julian's and tell them that she has chosen them to have her baby.
